The Staff Association for several years has recognized the importance to have knowledgeable staff representatives in PAHO recruitment and selection processes, in order to have a more effective and meaningful participation in selection committees.

After several intents and working guidelines developed, we are very happy and proud to introduce the first on-line course in this matter. This on-line training provides all the main elements that a staff representative must know in this area.

This on-line training was developed thanks to the help and constant contribution of several active SA members and the Executive Committee spent great deal of time requesting the contribution and inputs of the Local Organizations in this matter. We want to express our deeply appreciation to PERU, PANAFTOSA, BRASIL and CHILE Local Organizations for their contribution.

At this point we are releasing the pilot test only in Spanish. We will appreciate your feedback no later to May 25, 2009.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ENTER TO THE ON-LINE COURSE.
  1. Record in:   http:   /dvcn.es/login/index.php you will receive an E-mail in your E-mail with the liaison that will make it possible for him to confirm your registry in the course.  
  2. Once there has been recorded, it enters the Community using its Name of user and the Password.   In the horizontal column of the above the Web page, cliquee "Courses" and then cliquee the block known as:   Course "effective Participation in the processes of recruitment and selection of staff of PAHO/WHO"
  3. The password of the course is:   sapaho1.
Note:   Please, to take into account that the course has problems of configuration that keep from making changes in the modules, which is the reason why they appear some resources with problems of layout.   Note that the work Manual 1 is the correct and in all the modules there are problems with the order of the subjects.
